Since 1943

Hugo Naudé Art Centre is part of a proud legacy of performing and visual art centres across the Western Cape. This unique institution is focused on making the arts accessible to learners from all backgrounds. We believe in the importance of arts education to ensure the holistic development of our youth and to equip them for a successful career in a world where creative and critical thinking skills are increasingly valued.

The Hugo Naudé Art Centre is located in Tulbagh Street, Worcester. The centre, which was established in 1943, is named after one of South Africa’s most renowned Impressionist artists, Hugo Naudé. The Art Centre offers a wide variety of subjects in both the visual and impressionist arts. The Hugo Naudé Art Centre serves the Breede River Valley as well as the surrounding regions.

Hugo Naudé Art Centre follows the WCED Curriculum in offering FET, Senior Phase, and Intermediate Phase programmers.
